Installation of Waste Management Systems at Chipad Village of Gujarat.

Galaxy Sivtek has been active in giving back to society by conducting innovative & helpful activities as part of Corporate Social Responsibility.

Being inspired by “father of the nation – Mahatma Gandhi” & “Prime Minister of India – Narendra Modi’s initiative of Swachh Bharat” this time COO of Galaxy Sivtek Mr. Nilesh Khimsaria thought to contribute towards the cause of clean India as a part of CSR.

Mr. Khimsaria along with HR & Admin team decided to contribute towards cleaning the nearby villages & they started from Chipad Village which is 6 km away from Galaxy Sivtek’s plant. On a visit to the village, team Galaxy found that there wasn’t any proper arrangement to dispose of & manage the waste.

Understanding the current scenario, team Galaxy approached Concept BioTech. Concept BioTech is a manufacturer of Eco-Friendly products & provides waste management services.

12 nos. Compost Tumblers were installed in the village which helped them not only dispose of the waste but also to produce fertilizer from the waste. They can also produce items such as benches, pellets, etc. from plastic waste.

How did Compost tumbler help them?

Firstly, they were able to dispose of all the household & other waste & secondly, they were able to produce fertilizer from the waste. They also started generating income from selling fertilizer. The cost & maintenance of the project would be taken care of by Galaxy Sivtek for 2 to 3 years & after 2 or 3 years the Village would be able to take care of the cost & make a profit out of it.

The project was really appreciated by many socialists & it grabbed the eyes of many local media houses & got good media coverage.

The Waste Management Project by Concept Biotech & Galaxy Sivtek was featured in Spark today (Gujarat’s reputed News Channel) & an article on the same was also published in the local newspaper “Divya Bhaskar”.
